Funding Needs

Investment can empower AfricArXiv to advance African research accessibility and visibility by enhancing its digital infrastructure, supporting multilingual resources, and strengthening global partnerships. Funding can improve user interfaces, optimize searchability, and enable translation into indigenous languages, broadening reach. Capacity-building initiatives, such as workshops, grants, and digital literacy programs, can empower researchers and democratize access to publishing. Sustainable revenue models through membership, sponsorships, and donations ensure long-term viability. Additionally, as we have shown previously, investment in peer review, community-building tools, and public outreach can boost AfricArXiv’s credibility, fostering impactful and inclusive African scholarship.
